December Rain

It has been raining here for almost a week.  It put a damper on the Jenkins Family Christmas Party that was held in St. George this year.  It was a damper for those who are not from here.  Those of us who are from here are loving it!  Wes called us yesterday and told us to get out and see the rivers.  Chase and I grabbed the camera and headed out.  This is what we saw.
This is a walking bridge that was from Sunbrook Golf Course.  It made it under one bridge and got stuck one this one.  This is a new bridge that was done after the last flood.

This along the Santa Clara (so was the last one) a little further down.  This is in an area that lost a lot of houses in the last flood.  You can tell they did a lot of work.  To the right of the picture is houses a little higher up.  To the left is a park they built after the last.  The water is right on the edge of the park.

Walking path that got washed away.

This is Southgate Golf Course!

.
So is this.  It's a walking bridge

Swells.  Chase wanted to get a raft and ride them!

This is the Virgin River looking towards St. George.  We are at the Bloomington Club House.

You can see the Virgin in the background.

This morning the sun came out for a bit and gave us the most beautiful, full rainbow!

Thankfully today the rivers have gone down.  I think we will see the sun for Christmas.  But we are very grateful for the rain we have received.  Chase and I would like it to go on longer but I guess every good thing must come to an end.
