I thought for sure we wouldn't be going so I wasn't completely packed. Wes sent me home to pack and when they got home we hurried and loaded up and took off. We did great till Beaver. We called our bro-inlaw to check the weather on his computer. He said we were all clear so we kept going. (Thanks Eric). Before the I-70 turnoff we hit it. The wind came in so hard and then it starting snowing like crazy. As we were going over the pass (and doing 20 mph) it was dark and quiet, no other cars. Then there was lightning. Way eerie! We did 20 all the way to Fillmore. We had to stop and few times and had to break the ice off the wind shield wipers. In Fillmore we got one of the last rooms. The kids thought it was great. Mr. Tight
Wad didn't think so.
We did make it there and luckily I was able to push the kids' dentist appointments back a couple of hours. Our dentist is a lifelong friend of Wes. It helps ease the tension of going to the dentist. Mallory, though, has a complete fear of going. Big shocker! Abigail went for the first time. She ended up having 7 huge cavities! She did eat all her Halloween candy in two days. Well, we had a funny time watching her. They put her on the gas and that took all her inhibitions away. Not like she had a lot.
By the time he started working on her she was dead asleep. It was great.
This was Thanksgiving!
The guys playing a heated game of tennis on the Wii
The guys pre-dinner calorie burner.
Ha Ha!!!!
The girly girls
and some junior sized Rock Band.
It was a packed two days. We had a great time and wished we could stay. Can't wait for the big Jenkins Family Christmas Party. See you all there!
